LOS ANGELES, CA – Arkansas singers will want to start warming up now to audition for the next season of “American Idol.”

The “American Idol Audition Bus Tour” rolls into Little Rock on Saturday, August 17.

In its quest for undiscovered talent, the show, which starts Season 13 in January, is searching the nation for the next superstar.

The stop in Little Rock is the first in a regional five-town mobile tour offering hopefuls a chance to audition for the hit competition series. The four other stops are:
  • Oxford, MS, on Monday, Aug. 19
  • Tuscaloosa, AL, on Wednesday, Aug. 21
  • Knoxville, TN, on Friday, Aug. 23
  • Chapel Hill, NC, on Monday, Aug. 26
Specific locations are yet to be announced.

Idol auditions are also taking place in these locations:
  • Austin, TX, on Wednesday, Aug. 7 at the Frank Erwin Center (registration begins Aug. 6).
  • Omaha, NE, Sunday, Aug. 11 at the CenturyLink Center (registration begins Aug. 10).                                               
Hopefuls can also submit video auditions online (click here). Entrants should demonstrate their stellar singing ability by performing a song of their choice a cappella. Videos are limited to one submission per person.
