BRYANY, AR — Bryant Alderman Adrian Henley wants Mayor Jill Dabbs gone. Right now, he’s leading a petition to recall the mayor.

“I have been distributing it to the members and citizens who have asked for it in the city and gained a few signatures myself,” said Henley.

Henley says the mayor is completely out of touch with the community and city workers. He even tells us she is not working with the council and doesn’t respond to his emails. Therefore, Henley wants someone else to take her place.

“We need 2400 signatures of registered voters. Our group is is trying to get 3000 just to make sure we have enough,” said Henley.

But Mayor Dabbs says Alderman Henley is the problem.

“Some people are just obstructionists. That’s what they live for. Mr. Henley has not brought one positive thing since I”ve known him,” said Dabbs, “I have invited Mr. Henley to come and sit down and he has not done so.”

The Mayor says being the chief officer of the city, she expects outspoken opponents.

“There are some things you can’t do anything about and you have to live with. I have to live with Alderman Henley,” said Dabbs.
