SEARCY, AR — Yarnell’s Premium Ice Cream makes its return to Arkansas Purple Cow restaurants as the chain’s official ice cream, featuring purple vanilla made exclusively for the popular restaurant.

Purple Cow restaurants in Hot Springs and Little Rock will also feature Yarnell’s orange sherbet and mint chocolate chip ice cream not found in stores.

Prior to the summer of 2011, The Purple Cow had done business with Yarnell’s for nearly 22 years, supplying ice cream for the famous hand-dipped milkshakes since the restaurant’s grand opening in 1989.

“Yarnell’s Premium Ice Cream and The Purple Cow restaurants are two proud Arkansas traditions,” said Mitch Evans, vice president of sales for Yarnell’s. “We are thrilled to be back in The Purple Cow restaurants serving diners Arkansas’ favorite ice cream. There’s truly nothing like a Purple Cow milkshake made with Yarnell’s ice cream!”

“It’s definitely exciting to have Yarnell’s Premium Ice Cream back in The Purple Cow,” said Todd Gold, president of The Purple Cow Restaurants. “Not only do we have their famous purple vanilla back, but also Yarnell’s orange sherbet, which is the base for our delicious Dreamsicle.”

To celebrate the return of Yarnell’s to The Purple Cow, the first 100 customers at each Purple Cow location Aug. 16-17 during designated times will receive a free purple milkshake.
