Family Health: Study finds women with heart disease don’t exercise enough

Health

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Women with heart disease need to exercise more but a new study finds women between ages 40 and 64 are getting less and less exercise.

Researchers from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine found more than half of women with cardiovascular disease don’t exercise enough and the number has increased over the past decade.

The American Heart Association says 400,000 women die of heart disease every year.

Most cases of cardiovascular disease can be prevented with healthy lifestyle choices such as exercising and a balanced diet.
