Family Health: Women who are active for 5+ hours a day are least likely to develop heart disease

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- Even the smallest amount of physical activity can be good for an older woman's heart.

Researchers tracked the daily physical movement of nearly 6,000 older women for almost four years.

The women who were active for at least five hours a day were the least likely to develop heart disease, regardless of their health or age.

Experts say more research is needed to see the impact of light physical activity in men.
