LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- A 16-year-old boy has been injured and arrested in connection to a shooting Sunday on University Avenue.
According to a Little Rock Police Department report, three witnesses told them they saw a group of guys fighting in the parking lot of Little Caesars.
A fourth witness told police he saw two men fighting in the grass and a woman who was yelling. The witness said one of the men body slammed the other, then the other got up and ran. The witness told police he began to walk towards the men to break up the fight when he saw one of the men stand up and start shooting at gray Dodge Charger that had left the parking lot.
One of the witnesses told police she was in the parking lot next to Little Caesars that she saw one guy go to a car, remove a rifle and a second gun from the trunk of a car, and gave someone a gun. The witness said the two guys then started shooting at a dark gray Dodge Charger.
Two of the witnesses told police the car that they were in was hit by bullets.
Officers later learned a teen and a woman were at a local hospital. According to the report, the teen had a gunshot wound on his right side. Police say they believe the teen was involved in the fight when he was shot. After the teen was treated, he was taken to the 12th Street station, charged with two terroristic act charges, then taken to the Pulaski County Jail.
The teen’s name has not been released because of his age.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Little Rock police responded to a report of gunfire in the 3400 block of University, near Little Caesars.
Little Rock police say one person went to a hospital with shooting wounds, but their injury is not life-threatening.
At least one vehicle was struck by gunfire.
The call went out just before 6:30 p.m.
Police are interviewing witnesses.
