1 Injured, 2 Arrested in Jacksonville Shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Arkansas – One individual has been shot Tuesday evening during what police believe was an apparent drug deal. Two suspects are in custody. 

Jacksonville Police say two individuals were attempting to purchase drugs from Devin Smith, 21, of North Little Rock, and Jason Bridges, 17, of Maumelle, when Smith and Bridges attempted to rob the victims of their money.

According to the incident report, Bridges pulled out a handgun and fired multiple rounds at and into the victim’s vehicle; causing damage to the vehicle and injuring one of the victims.

Police say the victim’s injury was not life threatening. 

Bridges and Smith were located and taken into custody by Jacksonville Police. 

They have been charged with aggravated robbery, terroristic act, first degree battery, and other misdemeanor charges.
