LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- Ten startup companies from across the world have been selected to participate in a rigorous 12-week boot camp program at the Venture Center.
The 10 lucky companies were announced Wednesday at a kickoff event.
The program will provide them with exposure to thousands of community banks and investment opportunities.
Gov. Asa Hutchinson and Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott, Jr. were in attendance.
Scott says he hopes the businesses can thrive in the capital city.
“We need you in Little Rock because we want to continue to increase job growth, and the best way to increase job growth is to create our own teams, and so now we consider you citizens of Little Rock right now,” says Scott.
190 companies from 40 countries applied.
The winners range from Australia, to San Diego, to Fayetteville.
