12-Year-Old Girl Recovering from Parasitic Meningitis to be Released from Hospital

LITTLE ROCK, AR — Less than two months ago, doctors weren’t sure if Kali Hardig would survive after contracting parasitic meningitis.

Now her doctors say she’ll be released from Arkansas Children’s Hospital on Wednesday.

Kali is just the third person in the United States to survive parasitic meningitis.

Kali and her family, along with doctors involved in her treatment, will be answering questions in a panel-style interview at a news conference starting at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

You can watch a live stream of the news conference on FOX16.com.
