3.7 Earthquake Hits in Mississippi, About 40 Miles From Lake Village

HOLLANDALE, Miss. (WJTV) – A magnitude 3.7 earthquake hit the Delta Tuesday afternoon.  It was centered in the area of Hollandale near Greenville. Asst. Police Chief Michael Merchant with Greenville PD confirms the earthquake.  He said it felt like an aftershock.

There were no injuries, and no damage is reported.

The quake was apparently felt across the Mississippi River in Arkansas.  There are two reports of people who felt their homes shaking.
