911 Calls Believe Training was a Plane Crash

PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. – Police and fire departments in Central Arkansas — flooded with calls about a plane crash Saturday morning.

We’ve now learned the whole ordeal was simply a training exercise at Camp Robinson.

The Pulaski County and Faulkner County Sheriffs Office and several fire departments spent the day trying to find the mysterious plane.

Fox 16 received some of the calls to 911. Here’s some of what people had to say:
“I just wanted to know if y’all got any reports of a plane crash or a flaming or something falling out of the sky.”

“They thought they thought they saw a plane falling out of the sky on fire, and about the same time we were outside and saw a small plane overhead.”

After a long search, Faulkner County deputies found the source of the rumors. They were mortars at Camp Robinson. Representatives with Camp Robinson encourage everyone to check it’s Facebook page. They always post any time there will be training at the base.
