JONESBORO, Ark. – A-State Head Football Coach Blake Anderson is asking for prayers in his wife’s cancer battle.
He posted the following on Twitter early Monday morning to explain latest developments in Wendy Anderson’s condition:

Mrs. Anderson was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2017 and had surgery that August. At that time, both the players and coaches participated in a team-wide prayer for her.
In Nov. 2018, the family announced that new tests found cancer in muiltiple areas of her body.
The team and community has rallied around the Anderson’s and Wendy has expressed her thanks. “To know that there are people I don’t even know that are praying for me is amazing,” she said in a Sept. 2017 interview with AStateNation.

In a Dec. 2018 post on his Twitter page, Coach Anderson announced he and Wendy were celebrating their 26th wedding anniversary.
