When moving, it is important to inform certain individuals, companies and institutions that your address will be changing. As soon as know your new address, you can notify others by calling them or by mailing change-of-address cards, such as the ones you can get at your local Post Office. In addition to friends and family, you may want to inform the following individuals and/or companies of your new address: your accountant, attorney, bank, church or synagogue, credit card company, dentist, employer, insurance company, stockbroker, and veterinarian. In addition, you should also alert any alumni associations, appliance service contract holders, book clubs, catalog merchants, charitable organizations, frequent flyer programs, investment companies, IRA’s, lending institutes, and magazine and newspaper subscriptions of your new address. For more information on changing addresses, contact a moving company in your area.
