Aggravated robbery suspects captured in Bryant

BRYANT, AR – Police have arrested a man and woman they say are responsible for robbing and pistol-whipping a man behind the Target on Alcoa Road Monday.

According to a release from the Bryant Police Department, Richard Palomares was walking in the Target parking lot when Sara Seawright, whom he knew, stopped and offered him a ride.

Palomares told police that Seawright then drove behind the store where another man in the car, identified as LeDarius Leron Scales, robbed Palomares at gunpoint and then struck him in the head with the weapon.

According to the release, on Thursday police tracked a car driven by Scales with Seawright and in it and arrested them.

Scales was charged with aggravated robbery, 1st degree battery, tampering with evidence and theft of property. Seawright was charged with aggravated robbery, 1st degree battery, kidnapping, hindering apprehension and tampering with evidence.
