NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A new anti-bullying initiative is being launched by the North Little Rock School District (NLRSD) in a few months.
It’s part of an effort involving the superintendent’s student cabinet.
More than 20 elementary, middle and high schoolers met Tuesday to discuss ways to combat bullying and develop a district-wide plan.
“What better way to come up with an anti-bullying initiative, why not ask the students?,” says Dustin Barnes, the NLRSD Public Information Officer.
“We have very different perspectives on how we’re going to act; what we’re going to do,” says Emmanuel Donahue, a 5th grader at Meadow Park Elementary. “It helps our whole community.”
The campaign is being called “Not in Our School” and the students will work to get everything in place by February.
