Arkansas Crime Watch with Mitch McCoy Set to Debut Sunday

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (News Release) — Fox16 is set to debut a new show focusing on unsolved crimes, public safety, and the impact violence has had on our neighborhoods.

Arkansas Crime Watch with Mitch McCoy will be exclusively available on Sunday nights beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Not only will the broadcast alert people to crime happening in their community, it’ll also be a platform to discuss solutions to prevent issues from happening. From in-depth reporting, raw interviews and live conversations, Arkansas Crime Watch dives deeper into crime issues plaguing neighborhoods.

“In many cases, we have 90 seconds to tell a story in a newscast. Arkansas Crime Watch allows us to expand on issues throughout the week and have a discussion,” added McCoy. “I’m humbled to be given an opportunity to take a deeper drive on crime stories that concern all of us.”

“Since joining the Fox16 team, Mitch has become the go-to reporter for breaking news coverage — which usually ends up being crime,” said Fox16 News Director Austin Kellerman.  “He understands the long-term effects crime can have on families and has a passion for finding solutions.  Ultimately, this project fits with our efforts to find Victory Over Violence.”

Arkansas Crime Watch is designed to help law enforcement get criminals off the streets and help victims find justice.

The debut episode, which will be posted this Sunday, will focus on recent crimes involving domestic violence.
