Arkansas Man and Woman Injured in Crash Landing in Florida

BAY COUNTY, Florida(WJHG) — A small aircraft out of Jonesboro made an emergency landing in Florida.

The pilot, James McLeod, 32, and his passenger, Erin McLeod, 31, were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries but in stable condition

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, they say the pilot was trying to make an emergency landing just after 1:00 p.m. Saturday when the plane lost power for an unknown reason and crashed onto the south shoulder of State Road 20 just west of State Road 77.

The pilot, 32-year-old James McLeod, and his passenger, 31-year-old Erin McLeod, were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries but in stable condition.

Both are from Jonesboro.

The plane is an Aero Commander M-200.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
