What: Beautiful tells the story of songwriter Carole King, who worked with her husband Gerry Goffin and writers Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann. Hear hits like “I Feel the Earth Move,” “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” and more.

Louder than Words: Rock Power and Politics

Who: Clinton Presidential Center

When: Mar 12 – August 5, 2018

Where: Clinton Presidential Center, 1200 President Clinton Ave., Little Rock, AR

What: The temporary exhibit at the Clinton Center explores the American history and rock ‘n’ roll. Throughout 60 years and more than 50 artists and political figures, attendees will follow a timeline of presidential administrations to see the role music has played across the years. 2018 PK Grills Cookout

Who: PK Grills, an Arkansas-based grill company

When: Friday 5:30 – 9:30 p.m.; Saturday 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Where: War Memorial Stadium, 1 Stadium Drive, Little Rock, AR

What: This year’s PK Grills Cookout includes a meat class by Jess Pryles (who will also have a book signing) and a welcome party with live music, food and beer on Friday night. Head to War Memorial Stadium on Saturday for the main event, the steak cookoff.

Kids’ Fishing Derby

Who: Pinnacle Mountain

When: Saturday 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.

Where: Pinnacle Mountain State Park, 11901 Pinnacle Valley Rd, Roland, AR

What: The pond at Pinnacle Mountain is stocked full of fish, so head over Saturday morning for the free fishing derby. Enjoy a casting contest, snacks and prizes. Bring your bait and tackle. You must be 15 or under to compete, but everyone with a fishing license can fish after 10 a.m.
