Bella Vista church seeks to help those affected by stump dump fire

BELLA VISTA, Ark. (KNWA) – The First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista is opening its doors to those impacted by the Trafalgar Road fire.

The church will provide shelter Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and on Fridays from  8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Refreshments, internet access and board games are provided by the church.

Rev. Jeanne Williams says the city reached out for this service and it’s just one more way the church can help the community.

“Our church is often a meeting place for different organizations, but we feel very strongly that our work as Christians and as disciples of Jesus is to provide services such as this,” Williams said.

If you plan to stop by, all you need to bring is proof of residency.

And if any local organization would like to donate, First United Methodist Church will be accepting snacks and lunches.
