UPDATE: Arrest made in connection to LR hotel shooting

Police have made an arrest of a 16-year-old in connection to the shooting Sunday morning at the Staybridge Suites.

Ladarius Burnette,16, was arrested and will be charged as an adult, police said.

He is currently facing two charges of Battery in the first degree.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Police say they arrived at the Staybridge Suites hotel after reports of shots being fired Sunday morning around 10 a.m.

When they found the room where the shots were heard they say they found a 16-year-old male who had been shot multiple times, and a 15-year-old female who had been shot in the leg.

Upon investigating they found that there were multiple teens at the hotel the night before for a birthday party, and the room had been rented out by an unknown woman.

The suspect and the person responsible for renting the room is currently unknown and police say they are still investigating the situation.

Police say, two minors were shot shortly before 10 a.m. this morning at the hotel.

One minor was a male and was shot multiple times, police say he is in critical condition.

The other minor was female, and police say she is stable.

Police say there was a party last night at the hotel, and they believe the shooting was related to the party.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Little Rock police are on the scene of a shooting at the Staybridge Suites on 1020 South University in Little Rock.

Police say they have located two individuals that appear to have been shot.

Police are still investigating the situation.
