BRINKLEY, Ark.- Councilman Gene DePriest was charged Thursday with operating a gambling house.
In April, the First Judicial Drug Task Force and state police seized 10 video arcade machines and cash from DePriest’s barbeque restaurant.
This comes after a month-long investigation.
DePriest told Fox16 at the time, he believed the raid was politically motivated.
Authorities arrested DePriest at his home Thursday. He was released on his own recognizance.
DePriest is expected to be in court on Monday.
More arrests could be made.
