Centerton Battalion Chief Accused of Rape Now Suspended Without Pay

CENTERTON, Ark. (KNWA) – A Centerton Fire Department battalion chief accused of rape has been suspended without pay and benefits.

The Centerton City Council voted Tuesday night to suspend Jordan Thompson.

Thompson recently pleaded not guilty in Benton County Court Monday to a rape charge.

Thompson’s next hearing is scheduled for February 19 in Benton County.

Thompson remains out on bond. He had been on paid administrative leave.
