LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Get ready to bundle up because the coldest air Arkansas has seen this winter and since Jan. 18, 2018 is headed for the Natural State.

We’ll begin to feel it Saturday as an Arctic cold front passes through the state.

Our meteorologists say temperatures Saturday morning will be warmer than they will be Saturday afternoon. By Sunday morning, temperatures will be in the teens and 20’s with wind chill values in the single digits and teens.

Monday morning may not be as windy, but temperatures will be even colder and wind chill values may still be in the single digits and teens.

It’s been a year since our weather has been this cold, so remember the precautions you’ll need to take to stay safe. That includes protecting outdoor pets and livestock as well as any outside plumbing.
Sunday night will be one of those nights when you may even want to leave a faucet dripping.
