Conway County Voters to Decide on Sales Tax Measure

CONWAY COUNTY, AR — A tax increase could be headed to Conway County.

On Thursday night, the Quorum Court decided to ask voters for a quarter-cent tax increase for five years.

The money generated would be used for economic development and job creation.

More than $4 million would be gained if the tax passes.

Chamber of Commerce leaders say the money will be a recruitment tool to bring new business to the area and to keep existing jobs.
