Conway Police arrest man suspected of using fake prescription to buy painkillers

News
CONWAY, AR – Hydrocodone and Valium are painkillers. Conway police say they arrested Ronald Duhon Jr. for attempting to get both, by using a fake prescription at the Walgreens drive thru on Oak Street.

“That’s alarming,” Latresha Woodruff of the Conway Police Department said. ”What’s he going to do with these? Is he going to sell them? Is he using them himself? Either scenario is bad.”

But the story doesn’t end there. North Little Rock police confirm they suspect Duhon of committing more than 120 similar felonies.

“Again it’s like, it’s kind of unbelievable,” Woodruff said. “If he tried to get that many pills here, who knows how many he got in these other places.”

Police may never know the answer to that question. What they do know, is this time, powerful painkillers didn’t end up in the wrong hands.

“Not only to find out that you are keeping those pills that he could have gotten here in Conway off the streets, but you’re keeping someone who seems to have done this so many times from actually doing it again – obviously it makes us feel good,” Woodruff said.
