NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Family and friends gather with candles to celebrate the life of a murdered mother.
Jeanette Hunter was found stabbed multiple times at her home last Friday.
She died a few days later.
28-year-old Jeremy Percy was taken into custody and confessed to cutting her with a sharp metal object.
Percy now faces first degree murder charges.
Hunter’s closest family and friends say her station at the barber shop and her life will never be forgotten.
“We became friends instantly. We made a bond from the start. She was a very sweet person,” said Chantrale Blue.
“It’s still unbelievable. It’s just…it hasn’t hit yet that someone, that of a good person, did not deserve it,” said Sha Lisa Cummins.
Both women say they call each day to make sure they know if they need something, to call.
Hunter’s family and friends not only gathered to keep her in their memories, but to bring more awareness to domestic violence.
