First Snow/Sleet Reports for March Winter Storm

LITTLE ROCK, AR – Snow and sleet cover many parts of Arkansas after the latest winter storm hits the state.

Early reports coming in from the National Weather Service include these:
  • Newport – estimated 6 inches of snow and sleet
  • Hot Springs – estimated 2 inches of sleet then 2-3 inches of snow
  • Arkadelphia – estimated 5 inches of snow and sleet
  • Pine Bluff – estimated 2 inches of sleet then 2 inches of snow
  • Monticello – estimated 1 inch of sleet
  • De Witt – estimated 2.5 inches of sleet
  • Fordyce – estimated 3 inches of sleet and 1 inch of snow
  • Little Rock – estimated 2.9 inches of sleet by midnight at Clinton National Airport, was changing over to snow
  • Russellville – estimated 3 inches of sleet and snow at 11 p.m. Wednesday
  • Flippin – estimated 5 inches of mainly snow with some sleet
