Flooding, Landslide Closes Highways in Western Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, AR – Flooding and a landslide have closed some highways in Western Arkansas.

The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department says the affected areas are in Scott and Polk counties as follows:

  • Scott County: Highway 28 section 2 log mile 5.5-23.8 near Parks is closed due to flooding and highway damage.
  • Polk County: Highway 88 just west of Mena is closed due to a landslide.
