WHITE COUNTY, Ark. — The White County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide after a man was found dead inside a home.

Officials say they received a call about a possible dead person on the 100 block of Lynn Street in McRae around 6:45 Wednesday morning.

White County deputies, McRae police and fire department found Keith Crisco, 72, who lived at the home, dead. Officials say it appears Crisco suffered head trauma.

“There were obvious signs that lent itself to possible signs of foul play being involved so they backed out and secured the crime scene,” White County Sheriff Phillip Miller said.

Based on the investigation to this point, detectives are working this as a homicide investigation.

Crisco’s body was removed from the scene by the White County Coroner’s Office and will be transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for a forensic autopsy.

A person of interest is currently being interviewed in connection with this case.

“I don’t want to call that person a suspect but a person of interest at this point. That may or may not be the only person out there,” Sheriff Miller said.
