Juneteenth Celebration Held This Weekend

LITTLE ROCK, AR– Saturday was a day of celebration in honor of freedom near Ninth Street in Little Rock.

The Mosaic Templars Cultural Center hosted a Juneteenth celebration, marking the time designated as the end of African-American slavery in our country.

Attendees enjoyed street vendors, food, and live music. Planners say it’s a celebration for everyone regardless of race or ethnicity.

“It actually promotes freedom for all people because if anyone is in bondage, everyone is in bondage,” said activist F.B. Rasheed.
