NORTHWEST ARKANSAS, AR (KNWA) – An earthquake that measured 4.8 in magnitude shook central Kansas Wednesday – but many here in NWA Arkansas felt it, too.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) the earthquake was centered near Conway Springs, KS – outside of Wichita and happened at 3:40 p.m.

Hobbs State Park’s seismometer recorded some movement in Rogers and viewers in Fayetteville and other areas reported feeling some trembling.

If you did feel the earthquake, USGS wants you to let them know by felling out an online report.
