LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Lime scooters are proving popular in the capital city.
Since making their debut in early January they’ve covered thousands of miles, according to statistics released on Monday.
“Little Rock residents and visitors alike have quickly adopted Lime’s affordable, safe and environmentally friendly scooters for many of their last-mile transportation needs,” reads an email announcing the following numbers for the first 30 days:
- Trips: More than 14,000
- Total distance: More than 14,150 miles
- Median trip time: 9 minutes
- Average trip speed: 3.46 mph
- Most popular destinations: Arkansas River Trail and the River Market area
In the coming weeks, Lime plans to hold community events and safety demos around town to hand out free helmets and encourage safe riding practices, the email states.
