LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A Little Rock family is hoping for answers after coming home to find someone shot their family’s cat.
Robert Adamson-Bailey says 3-year-old Kinko was roaming around outside their home in the 2800 block of W Capitol Ave, when someone shot her in the neck.
“I’m just grateful that she’s still alive and healthy,” he said. “Every time she goes outside I’m worried it’s going to happen again, or worse.”
The mark where the pellet went through the cat’s neck was still visible Friday. While Kinko is expected to recover, Adamson-Bailey can’t stop wondering why someone would target his cat.
“We rescued her off the streets. Other people she’s still kind of skittish of, but you know she’s our baby,” he said.
Adamson-Bailey is hoping one of his Capitol View neighbors may have seen something that could help them figure out who shot Kinko. He’s also hopes sharing his story will prevent another pet from being hurt.
