LITTLE ROCK, AR – A Little Rock man suffered a gun shot wound to the buttocks area while taking his trash out on Tuesday night.

Shortly before 9 p.m. Enrique Ovayo told officers that he was taking out the trash at his home on Geyer Springs Road in Little Rock when he was struck by a bullet in the buttocks area.

Ovayo told authorities that he had not seen nor heard the shooter. According to a report he was driven to St. Vincent for treatment.

St. Vincent staff told officers that the bullet was moving at a low velocity and came down at a downward angle when it struck Ovayo.

This incident may be related to a shots fired call that happened seven blocks north of Ovayo’s home.

Police say there are no suspects at this time.
