Little Rock Police Investigating Geyer Springs Shooting

LITTLE ROCK, AR – Police are investigating a shooting that happened on Geyer Springs in Little Rock on Wednesday night.

Just before 8:45 p.m. Officers were called to the shooting at 5201 Geyer Springs.

When they arrived on scene they found a large crime scene on the west side of the apartment complex. Officers were unable to find a victim, but were told by witnesses that a black male in his mid-20’s was shot and got into a Silver Mercedes and left the scene.

According to a report, a short time later officers learned that a shooting victim had shown up at St. Vincent’s Hospital claiming they had been shot somewhere off Roosevelt Road.

Officers responded and spoke with Latavious Murry, 22, who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his right calf, his injuries were not life threatening.

Murry told police that he was on Roosevelt Road when a guy named “Melvin” shot him. Murry wasn’t able to provide any further information except that he was on Roosevelt Road when it happened.

At this time it is undetermined if Murry was involved in the shooting at 5201 Geyer Springs. The investigation is ongoing.
