Local Filmmaker Stabbed, Carjacked at LR Gas Station

LITTLE ROCK, AR — A Little Rock man has been released from the hospital after being stabbed during a carjacking early Sunday morning.

Surveillance video shows 30-year-old Michael Armstrong rushing into the gas station at the corner of 53rd St. and S. University just before 1:00am Sunday morning.
Moments later police and paramedics arrive and take Armstrong away on a stretcher.
Police say Armstrong bought a pack of cigars for the 17-year-old suspect. But when he returned to hand them off the suspect demanded his keys.

“A struggle ensued, the guy was stabbed twice and the suspect left in his vehicle.” said Lt. Sidney Allen with the Little Rock Police Department.

Another angle of the surveillance video shows the suspect driving away in Armstrong’s van.
Armstrong is a local film maker who told police he was making a horror movie when he went to the gas station for a caffeine fix.

The suspect was stopped and arrested by police not far from the gas station. Because he’s a minor, police are no releasing his name.
