LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A 25-year-old man, along with a handful of cars, was shot at a Little Rock auto shop early Friday morning.

According to the report, Shannon Johnson, his fiance, father, cousin and a photographer were at Car Corner of Little Rock on Colonel Glenn Road. They told police they were about to leave for an event when a black or blue sedan pulled up and started shooting.

Johnson was shot in the back. Police said his injuries were not expected to be life threatening.

Officers found the shop riddled with bullets, at least a dozen shots through windows, tires, even the front door.

“A nice holiday! I don’t know why we’ve had so much destruction,” said Faye Parker, who lives in the area. “My house is well insulated so I didn’t hear any shots, but we’ve had shots in this neighborhood before.”

That’s why Parker said her neighborhood association has requested an additional officer to patrol their community.

The shop was closed Friday, but detectives were there investigating. Parker wishes whoever did this just stayed home.

“This is a time when people should be with their families and friends,” she said. “That is not good, not good. We pay our taxes. We live in our homes. We mind our business. We want to be safe.”
