LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Eight J.A. Fair High School students were arrested Monday after a fight broke out at school, the Little Rock Police Department (LRPD) said.

The LRPD said the fight stemmed from an argument that happened over the weekend at a skating rink.

The school’s two resource officers were the first to respond to the fight, followed by multiple LRPD officers who were called to the scene.

Officers say pepper spray was used to break up the incident.

The students were arrested on misdemeanor charges, including disorderly conduct, battery and inciting a riot.

One teacher had minor injuries from the pepper spray, the LRPD said.
