AR Man Killed in Mobile Home Fire Identified

ZINC, Ark. (KOLR) – Authorities in Boone County have identified the man who was killed in a mobile home fire on Tuesday.

Cody Raulston, 28, was trying to combat the fire with the homeowner before the fire department was able to arrive. Witnesses say Raulston went into the burning home to try and save the homeowner’s dogs. He was not able to make it back out of the home.

Fire crews responded to the home around 6 that night. When they arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames. After the fire was put out, Raulston’s body was recovered from the scene.

A volunteer firefighter with the Bergman Volunteer Fire Department was also  reported injured by an exploding propane cylinder. Those injuries were described as minor 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
