LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – It’s never too soon to start thing about your taxes.
This time of year many Arkansas non-profits see a last minute surge in donors who are looking for deductions.
However, those donating should be aware of people trying to take advantage of their generosity.
Experts say donors should do research to make sure their money goes to the right place.
They also say not receiving end of the year donations can be bad for non-profits.
“It can hurt a non-profit in terms of not getting end of year giving obviously, by our expectations for the services we can offer the children for the upcoming year,” says Denise Snider, with City Youth Ministries.
One tip to make sure your money goes where you want it, take your donations in person.
