LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Arkansas River at Little Rock has reached its crest.
Floodwaters climbed to 29.71 feet around 11 a.m. Wednesday and were holding steady.
Flood stage for the river in Little Rock is 23 feet.
The crest was expected to reach 29.8 but fell just short.
The river will slowly start falling by the end of the week.
