LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A suspect has been arrested after a Wednesday morning bank robbery attempt on the city’s southwest side.

The Little Rock Police Department says Robert Chatman, 36, was armed with a knife when he demanded money around 8:45 a.m. at an Arvest Bank branch on Mabelvale Plaza Drive.

Bank employees called 911 and said the suspect was sitting in the lobby. He was still there when officers arrived.
