Caution signs stolen from Dardanelle road work project returned with apology note

DARDANELLE, Ark. — The Mayor of Dardanelle posted earlier today that somebody had stolen the cities caution signs at a construction site. The signs have now been returned with an apology note.

Mayor Jimmy Witt took to Facebook again to update the community that their caution signs had been returned with an apology note. Mayor Witt said that he appreciated the note very much, and he forgives the person for taking them. He was just happy no one got hurt while the signs were gone.

The note that was left with the signs stated they saw the Facebook post on TikTok and brought them back.

DARDANELLE, Ark. – The City of Dardanelle says someone stole caution signs at a construction project.

In a Facebook post, the mayor wrote that the city is working on a new water line on Dardanelle Dam road.

On Tuesday night, someone stole all of the caution signs. Mayor Jimmy Witt says it makes it dangerous for anyone driving through that area after the signs were taken.

If anyone knows who took the orange road work signs, please contact the Dardanelle Police Department.
