Local News

MAUMELLE, Ark. –  Pets – they are very much our family.

Rachel Wilkinson an office manager by day and dog sitter by night has been using the Rover app to help care for her pets.

“One of my dogs ran away and he was missing for a day and a half,” says Wilkinson. “Of course you think the worst.”

Rover, which is quickly becoming the number one pet sitting app, allows pet owners to get trusted pet care in their neighborhood.

“I get to know a specific person and it’s comforting to know my dog will be cuddling with someone while I am away,” explains Wilkinson. “I started using the app as a way to connect with other dog lovers and to give back the care that I would want for my pets.”

Wilkinson is quickly becoming a popular sitter because of her kindness and understanding the importance of giving great care.

“One of my first clients actually called me the dog whisper because his little baby Henry would never eat when he would stay with other people,” says Wilkinson. “The first time he stayed with me he ate all of his dinner and he was like, Henry never does this – you’re the dog whisper.”
