ARKANSAS – A new election forecast from polling aggregation website FiveThirtyEight gives presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton a 74 percent chance of winning the presidency in November.
The forecast was published on Wednesday and gave presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump a 26 percent chance of winning the presidency.
It predicts that Clinton will win 317.7 electoral votes and Trump will take 219.9 votes.
The popular vote, however, is much closer with Clinton taking 48.2 percent and Trump taking 43.9 percent. Libertarian presidential nominee Gary Johnson is predicted to take 6.7 percent of the popular vote.
The forecast gave Trump a 97 percent chance of winning Arkansas, leaving Clinton with just a three percent chance to take The Natural State.
These statistics can change, and as more election data is made available, FiveThirtyEight said they would update the forecast.
