UPDATE: Police asking for information regarding fatal hit and run

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Little Rock Police Department is asking for information regarding a hit and run that killed a pedestrian on July 17.

Tay Welsh, of Bryant was walking westbound on the eastbound side of the I-30 access road near 12041 I-30 when a car hit him.

Investigators believe the car that hit Welsh is a black Ford SUV or Pick-up Truck.

If you have any information regarding this you are asked to call police.


Correction: The body found was identified as Tay Welsh, 32. The Little Rock Police originally identified the body as the wrong person.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Officers were called to check on a man who appeared to be dead along the grassy roadside, at 12401 I-30.

Police found the man who they later identified as Tay Welsh, 32, and his injuries were consistent with being struck by a vehicle.

Investigators are working with the superintendent of the construction site to review camera footage of the area.

The collision investigation is ongoing. The next of kin of Mr. Wilkins has been notified.
