A wet and stormy week continues with more showers and some thunderstorms through early Saturday.
With more rain on the way, a Flash Flood Watch has been issued for Central and Western Arkansas until 7 a.m. Saturday.
An additional 1″-2″ of rain will be possible with locally heavier amounts.
The severe threat with the showers and storms Friday night is low, but a couple of strong storms are still possible with heavy downpours, frequent lightning and gusty winds. A Marginal Risk for Severe Storms is indicated by the Storm Prediction Center for Northwest Arkansas.
Showers will clear behind the front Saturday afternoon with mainly dry conditions Sunday and Monday. Heavy rainfall could return by the middle of next week.
