JOB OVERVIEW:

In a FREEZER Distribution Center: load and unload incoming deliveries, out going dinners, and ingredients from delivery trucks and to stow such items into proper areas through out the plant, while maintaining plant and warehouse cleanliness and organization.

EQUIPMENT:

Forklift, freezer suit, gloves, freezer boots

Forklift Operator could perform, but not limited to, one or more of the following duties:

  • Loading and/or unloading of material from or onto trucks and designated storage areas throughout plant and warehouse.
  • Scanning all outgoing shipments
  • Manifest and pick up palletized dinners from casing area.
  • Sort and repair all incoming pallets if necessary.
  • Set-up and service Production Operations with ingredients and pallets as needed.
  • Keep and maintain any record or statistical data as needed.
  • Keep and maintain a clean and orderly work space.
  • Perform job in safe and efficient manner as directed by company procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Reading, writing, verbal communication (English) and math comprehension at 8th grade level.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Division of Youth Services oversees adjudicated youth in the state. Any child convicted of a felony or certain misdemeanors will be sentenced to us. Provides and instructs residents in learning living skills, including personal hygiene, housekeeping procedures, and conflict resolution. Receives briefings on residents behavior or incidents from previous shift personnel. Ensures a clean, safe, and secure environment conducive to behavioral changes based on program rules and regulations. Performs pat and room searches of residents for illegal and/or dangerous objects. Oversees residents to monitor activities and behavior, counsels residents to reinforce positive behaviors, and promotes social interaction. Maintains and compiles daily evaluations of behavioral reports by noting residents’ actions, medical problems, and disciplinary and rules violations. Organizes, arranges, and escorts residents on recreational activity trips. Participates in the inspection of the living unit for fire, safety, and maintenance purposes. Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES & SKILLS:

Knowledge of institution residential services, rules, and regulations. Ability to oversee and direct residents of state institutions. Ability to observe residents and write detailed reports regarding residents’ behavior and progress. Ability to advice and counsel residents. Ability to perform general housekeeping duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus successful completion of a two week in-house training course. Must be 21 years or older. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
