LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- Lawmakers introduced a bill Wednesday in the State House that would regulate electric scooters.

If passed, it would give local authorities the right to regulate how people ride the scooters in their jurisdiction, including setting fines and speed limits.

The regulations would also outline areas where scooters will or will not be allowed.

The bill now heads to the House Public Transportation Committee.
