LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – School districts in central Arkansas will use an AMI day Wednesday due to the potential for severe weather.
Officials with the Little Rock School District, North Little Rock School District and Pulaski County Special School District have announced that they are switching to remote learning.
Officials with LRSD and PCSSD said that schools will work with families who are without power regarding assignments or other concerns.
Officials with the NLRSD said that virtual learning will have a delay time of two hours and 30 minutes. NLRSD students without access to power will have until Tuesday, April 11 to complete their assignments.
LRSD offices will open at 10 a.m. if weather permits. Officials said that staff should communicate with their supervisors on reporting times.
Arkansas is under a tornado watch until 4 p.m. Wednesday. A line of strong thunderstorms will move into central Arkansas around sunrise.
